Hey everyone,
I apologize for the lack of updates recently, but between spring break and school I haven't had much time or material to blog on, so here are some updates of what has been going on with the College Republicans at the U of M.
Prior to Spring Break a small contingency of U of M CR's went to Bill's Gun Range to exercise their second amendment rights, and to blow off some steam prior to break. It was a great time, and many thanks to Andrew Rothman and Jules Feldhacker for putting the entire trip together, it was a very memorable CR trip.
More recently, Tom Freeman of American Majority conducted Campus Majority training for our chapter, detailing the latest means of conveying your campus activism on the internet and through things such as Facebook and Twitter. Thanks very much to Tom for his time and insight.
In the coming weeks we will have a few "last hurrah" type events prior to finals week, including attending the national Tax Day Tea Party at the state capitol, a Support the Troops rally on the 23rd of April, and a Conservative Student Group Barbecue, tentatively scheduled for the 3rd of May. We look forward to getting a head start on the fall semester this summer as well, with fund raising and other political involvement.
Thanks for reading, check back for updates!
